Sample Absorb Activity #3
The purpose of the course I’m developing is to teach volunteer church office assistants the importance of maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
This activity aligns with Terminal Objective #3: Critically examine past behavior and determine a strategy for future behavior in regards to maintaining confidentiality, and Enabling Objective C: . Given a list of common office practices (both positive and negative), create your own personal checklist of 4-6simple behaviors to safeguard sensitive information.
This assessment/absorb activity takes learners on a virtual field trip to a church office to see if they can spot potential areas where sensitive information may be in danger of being seen by others. The activity helps to improve their powers of observation while teaching them some basic strategies for safeguarding information (which will be the basis for creating their own checklist later). The interactive PowerPoint below, while not the final product (filler text right now), will give you an idea of how the interaction will be developed. It was converted to Flash with a free trial version of PowerFlashPoint.
